The Del City chamber of commerce proudly invites you to become a part of one of the greatest cities in Oklahoma as well as the USA.  Our chamber of commerce is dedicated to serving this community through the promotion of business, increasing our support of the air force and navy at tinker air force base, and specialty beautification projects.  We feel blessed to be part of a municipality that has a progressive city council and leadership that is not afraid to “think outside the box.”  That is why we thrive as a city as well as an aggressive chamber.

The del city chamber of commerce prides ourselves on the fact that we continually increase our membership each year.  We sponsor state recognized programs such as del quest, a local youth promotion program for high school students.  We are also known for our support of the armed forces by annually producing one the best Armed Forces / Shriner’s Parades.

Please contact us and share with us how we can assist you in becoming a part of the Del City chamber of commerce.

Sincerely,
Jim v. McWhirter, President

DelQuest 2008

A Journey in Leadership

DelQuest is a fun-filled, three day session that every leader of tomorrow needs to attend. This is an exciting and insightful program in which selected participants will receive hands-on leadership training.

The Del City Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the City of Del City offers DelQuest yearly in the fall. Our students are able take advantage of all they experience and apply it to the rest of this school year and, more importantly, into their senior year of high school.

They will tour civic and business facilities and interact with elected officials to solve community-wide issues. DelQuest provides the tools and information that every leader needs to reach success!

An application and selection process is used to choose twenty, or more, high school juniors from public, private and home schools. Last year we had a record 35 applicants, and the committee chose 24 to spend an intense two and a half days and nights with local business leaders learning about the internal operations of local businesses and local government. The students encounter thought provoking, team-building exercises, motivational speakers, and interaction with leaders of the community which will help them to grow as an individual and become a better leader themselves. With so much negativity surrounding our young people, this program will re-establish their confidence in the future, and in themselves, as they prepare to lead the way as the leaders of tomorrow.
